Music for fictitious cop-drama Hemlock Jones composed for music tech qualification.

Composer

I can offer my services as a composer and arranger, with particular emphasis on neo-Classical, 'art music' and certain other modern styles, vocal and instrumental.

My influences include: Bach, Bruckner, Stravinsky, Messiaen, Steve Reich, Wendy Carlos, Mike Oldfield and John Williams. Particular pieces I draw upon include Bach choral works, Stravinskian Nationalism, early minimalism and Williams' masterfully orchestrated film scores.

Here are a few examples of recent compositions. If you have QuickTime installed, click the title to hear a short excerpt.

Hemlock Jones
Composed for a music technology qualification, this is a theme tune and set of cues for a cop-drama. Working to set brief and exact timings, I was able to produce a varied and highly characteristic, stylisically appropriate score and realisation using high-quality virtual instruments, resulting in broadcast-standard finalised audio masters.

Kyrie Eleison
A three-movement work for SATB choir, soloists and organ on the Roman mass text.

Suite of Dances
A set of Renaissance-style dance movements for a mixed consort.
