In recent months I have worked with Wilmslow Symphony Orchestra, the choir Sandbach Voices, South Cheshire Sinfonia and numerous other smaller groups. From this diverse range of ensembles I have produced, or led the production of, live concert recordings which capture the true character of the music and the acoustic space.
I own or have access to professional or semi-professional equipment including microphones by AKG, Blue and Røde and preamplification by Focusrite. For editing, I use a studio with Genelec monitoring and a ProTools HD system. In other words, the recording signal chain is as good as possible thanks to the equipment and a critical ear: the most important part is, however, the performance itself.
